Know more about Tyres_____________________________

 FAQ :

Q. How does a Nylon tyre differ from a Radial  tyre?
A. Basically the construction procedure itself of both is quite different. In Nylon or Bias tyre nylon cords are used whereas in Radial tyres Steel belts are used which is more cut & puncture resistant. Radial tyre has the special features like less bumpiness/jerking/vibration, less noise, high grip and safety at all speeds and in wet road conditions.

Q. What is the role of air in a tyre ?
A. Air has great role that the air in the tyre carry the entire load of the vehicle. Improper inflation causes uneven tyre wear and damage and adversely affect the driving comfort.

Q. Tips for tyre maintenance ?
A. First of all, inflate the tyre properly. Insist on mechanical mounting and Demounting to enhance tyre life. Get the tyre properly balanced and the Vehicle get aligned, at regular intervals. Mix use of bias and Radials are Not recommended. Put always a new tube with a new tyre. Proper Maintenance and careful driving would fetch a prolonged life to your tyre. Inflate a little more before you go for high speed driving.

Q. Advantages of radial tubeless tyres ?
A. Following are some of advantages of tubeless tyres,

Fewer and Slower deflations.
1) Better control of the vehicle.
2) More Time to have the tyre repaired, changed or to put a spare tube inside.

No Friction between Tube and Tyre
1) Less Heat Generation
2) Longer Tyre Life

Quicker and easier to fit
1) Less Down Time

Tube included in a Tubeless tyre :
Due to an improper mounting, air pocket might occur in between tube and inner
liner( both being airtight ).If air pockets are generated, a possible friction between
tube and inner liner could lead to the rupture of the tube - during vertical rolling
distortion of the tyre.
To obtain correct mounting, the tube valve should be pushed in firmly in order to allow air leak through the valve vent.

TYRE ROTATION FOR PASSENGER CAR & LIGHT TRUCK TYRES.

The purpose of regular rotation of tyres is to prolong tyre life by achieving
more uniform wear of all tyres of the vehicle. This is very important in
tropical countries and for urban use. Before rotating tyres , the owner manual should always be consulted for rotation recommendations for specific vehicles. If no rotation period is specified, tyres should be rotated as recommended by the vehicle/tyre manufacturer . The first rotation is very important.

Rotating the tyres as recommended by the vehicle or tyre manufacturer will help out even in minimising the uneven wear (viz : Heel and Toe, etc ) on ech tyre and in extending the life of the entire set . Also note that some kinds of tyres cannot be rotated in the manner as shown. Such tyres include unidirectional tyres and tyres with asymmetric tread designs.

If the tyre shows uneven wear, ask a service person to check for and correct any misalignment, imbalance or other mechanical problem before rotation.
